ANALISIS ROUTING PADA OSPF METRO ETHERNET PT. TELEKOMUNIKASI INDONESIA

Abstract

ABSTRAK
Metro Ethernet merupakan layanan komunikasi data yang menyediakan interface dan protocol Ethernet. Layanan ini merupakan layanan yang mudah, murah, dan sederhana yang dapat mengakomodasi layanan dengan bandwidth yang cukup besar. Dalam penelitian ini akan dibahas mengenai layanan metro Ethernet yang dilewatkan pada suatu jaringan dengan routing protocol OSPF. OSPF merupakan salah satu routing dinamis yang bekerja menggunakan konsep hirarki routing yaitu membagi jaringan ke dalam beberapa system pengelompokan area. Dengan konsep hirarki routing ini pengiriman informasi lebih teratur dan tersegmentasi sehingga penggunaan bandwidth lebih efisien, lebih cepat mencapai konvergensi dan lebih presisi dalam pemilihan route terbaik. Routing protocol dengan teknik link state di desain dengan sangat efisien dalam proses pengiriman update informasi rute. Hal ini membuat routing protokol OSPF menjadi sangat cocok untuk terus dikembangkan menjadi network berskala besar.
PT Telkom sebagai salah satu operator telekomunikasi menyediakan layanan data Metro Ethernet dengan routing protocol OSPF. Salah satu ruas jaringan Metro Ethernet yang menggunakan OSPF adalah ruas Semanggi-2 - Cikini dengan beberapa jalur alternative. Dari beberapa jalur tersebut akan dipilih jalur dengan nilai cost of the link yang paling kecil dengan menggunakan metoda OSPF sebagai rute untuk mencapai tujuan. Jalur yang tidak terpilih akan dijadikan sebagai jalur alternative jika rute utama terjadi kegagalan.

ABSTRACT
Metro Ethernet is a data communication services that provides interface and protocol Ethernet. This is a easy, cheap, and simple services that can accommodate a fairly large bandwidth. In this study will be discussed about the Metro Ethernet service is passed on a network with OSPF routing protocol. OSPF is one of dynamic routing that works uses the concept of routing hierarchy that divides networks into several areas of the grouping system. With this concept the hierarchy routing information transmission more regularly and segmented use more efficiently, so that bandwidth faster achieve the convergence and more precision in an election best route. Routing protocol with link state in design with very efficient in process of shipping route updates information. This makes the routing protocol OSPF to be perfectly suited to continue to be developed into a large-scale network.
PT Telkom as one telecommunications operator providing data services with Metro Ethernet routing protocol OSPF. One of the segments metro ethernet network that uses ospf is concrete-layer semanggi-2 -- cikini with several ways an alternative. Of several path will be chosen path by the value of the cost of the link was the kid by the use of methods ospf as a route for achieving goals. A track that is not elected will be made as an alternative path if the principal route there is a failure.
