SISTEM APLIKASI MONITORING WEB SERVER UNTUK TRAFIK DATA PADA PT.PASIFIK SATELIT NUSANTARA

Abstract

ABSTRAKSI
Web server atau lebih tepatnya world wide web server adalah server internet yang mampu melayani
koneksi transfer data dalam protokol HTTP (hypertext transfer protocol). Web server dapat dikatakan sebagai
inti dari server-server internet selain email server, ftp, dan news server. Web server telah di rancang untuk
dapat melayani beragam jenis data, mulai dari text, hypertext, gambar, suara, gambar tiga dimensi, plug-in dan
sebagainya. Saat ini aplikasi berbasis web semakin berkembang, baik dalam hal kegunaan, ukuran, maupun
kompleksitas.
Linux adalah sebuah program open source yang bebas di bawah lisensi GNU General Public License
atau GPL. Linux mulai menjadi suatu alternatif dalam memilih sistem operasi.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kondisi beban trafik di perusahaan Pasifik Satelit
Nusantara melalui web server. Hasil pengukuran menunjukkan adanya perbedaan bandwith yang disediakan
dengan bandwith yang dipakai dikarenakan setiap client memiliki permintaan masing-masing..

ABSTRACT
Web servers or rather the world wide web server is Internet server capable of serving a data transfer
connection in the HTTP protocol (hypertext transfer protocol). Web servers can be said as the core of the
Internet servers other than the email servers, ftp and news servers. This is understandable because the web
server has been designed to serve a variety of data types, ranging from text, hypertext, images, sounds, threedimensional
images, plug-ins and so on. Currently a web-based applications is growing, both in terms of
usability, size, or complexity.
Linux is an open source program that is free under the GNU General Public License or GPL, 32-64 bit
operating system, has a compliance with the POSIX one and can be run on various hardware platforms
ranging from Intel (x86), to the RISC processor.
