Di bidang industri motor listrik digunakan untuk memproses produksi, baik produksi tekstil, makanan, otomotif, dan lain sebagainya. motor listrik untuk merubah energi listrik menjadi energi mekanik. Energi mekanik berupa putaran baik searah maupun bolak-balik. Dalam proses produksi ada beberapa jenis putar mesin, yaitu putaran searah (hanya kanan atau kiri), putaran kanan-kiri. Dalam proses pengaturan putaran motor diperlukan alat kendali untuk mempermudah pengoperasian motor tersebut. Pengaturan motor listrik 3 fasa putar kanan kiri mudah dikendalikan dengan prommable logic controller (PLC). PLC yang digunakan CPM1A-30CDR-AV1 dengan jumlah terminal input 12 dan terminal output 18. Komponen penghubung dan pemisah menggunakan 2 kontaktor 3 fase, 1 MCB 3 fase, 1 overload 3 fase. Sumber tegangan 220VF-N/ 380VF-F. kelebihan pengaturan dengan PLC adalah mudah perencanaan, mudah simulasi dan dapat dikontrol dari computer.
